The district of HARWOOD blends the beauty of its gardens with the excitement of the arts. Nowhere else can you explore over eight acres of gardens or discover the largest samurai art collection in the world, all within 18 city blocks. The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection is an internationally acclaimed collection of samurai art housed in Dallas, with a traveling exhibition that has visited Paris, Quebec, U.S., and South America. The Samurai Collection consists of several hundred objects that have been amassed over the past 25 years. Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens consists of 1.5 acres of elegant green spaces often used for weddings and special events but also a perfect meeting place for friends and for strolls throughout the neighborhood.
